Pune is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It has a population of more than 3.5 million people and is considered to be the eighth most populous city in India. The city is known for its picturesque setting, with the Western Ghats running parallel to the Arabian Sea, while Pune is situated on a plateau at an elevation of 738 metres above sea level.

There are many places to visit in Pune. Some of them are

The fort has been in and out of use since then. But, today it houses the Maharashtra State Archives and is also a tourist destination.
